A Place Where You Belong

A Place Where You Belong

“Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her” (Ephesians 5:25)

There are a lot of people who say, “I believe in Christ, but I don’t have much use for the church.” What they fail to realize is that in the Bible the church is called “the body of Christ” (Eph. 1:22-23 etc.). To love Christ is to love His body, the church. One of our great challenges is to love the church as much as Christ does!

In the New Testament there was no such thing as a Christian just keeping to himself. Instead, when a person was baptized into Christ they became a vital, active part of a local family of believers. Did you know that there are over 30 commands in the New Testament that you cannot obey unless you are a functioning part of a local church? God in His compassion and love knew we couldn’t walk to heaven alone, so He gave us brothers and sisters to accompany us on the journey.

In addition, God has given each of us abilities that are to be used for the building up of His people (Eph. 4:16). If we are not using our talents in His kingdom what will He say when He returns? (Matt. 25:14-30). God wants to use your unique abilities in His church.

We would like to warmly invite you to become a part of God’s family here at Twin Creeks. Why not take a moment to talk to us and see how you can begin to love the church as much as Christ does?
